BANK TRANSFERS AND MAILED CHECK PAYMENT TYPES:
If using our bank transfer or mailed check payment option we put a 7-day hold on the seats you have selected that allows you time to complete the transaction. Those that do not take care of payment within that timeframe risk losing the tour seats they have selected.
DEPOSITS:
All deposit payments made to us are non-refundable in any way, at any time, and for any reason. If cancelling a tour you have made a deposit on, your deposit will be lost. If you need to cancel the tour you originally used your deposit for, to switch to a different tour in the same touring year as the tour you originally secured, we may be able to move it and apply it as credit to the new tour. This is at our personal discretion and is subject to availability. This option is not valid past January 1st in the same year as the tour you are trying to switch to, and is not valid for future tours in future years. If you are unable to switch to a different tour in the same year as the tour you originally deposited, your deposit will be lost.
We allow a 7 business day grace period on deposits made after the due date for all payment methods to reach us on our end. Payments on deposits must be made within 7 business days of tour booking. If the deposit is not received within 7 days of the due date or we are unable to establish any communication with you to create a new due date (at our discretion) we will cancel your tour seat(s). This also applies to the final payment due date, and you will not receive a refund on your prior deposit(s) should the final payment not be made.
Any deposit made after January 1st for a tour later in the same year is not subject to a refund or moving the deposit as a credit in any way.
Our Refund and Restrictions policy for deposits applies to ANY reason you are cancelling including force majeure and/or acts of God.
PAYMENTS IN FULL:
Final payments are nonrefundable, however, if you have paid in full before January 1st for tours in the next year you may move your payment as a credit to an available tour of your choosing that same year only. For example, if you paid in full in November of 2019 for a tour in 2020 and decide to cancel and apply the amount to a different tour in 2020, you would need to do so by January 1st, 2020 or you will lose your payment.
Moving a payment in full made in the year before your tour, to another tour, in the same year as your original tour is subject to availability and the discretion of our Tour Director/Owner. Payments in full may only be applied to other tours in the same year as the tour you originally booked and cannot be used for later years.
We allow a 7 business day grace period, on payments made in full, after the purchase date for all payment methods to reach us on our end. If the payment in full is not received within 7 days of the purchase date or we are unable to establish any communication with you to create a new due date (at our discretion) we will cancel your tour seat(s).
Any tour payments, including payments in full made after January 1st in the same year of the tour being purchased are final and are non-refundable in any way, at any time, for any reason, and are not subject to being moved to another tour.
Our Refund and Restrictions policy for payments in full applies to ANY reason you are cancelling including force majeure and/or acts of God.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If your tour is cancelled by us your payment will be turned into a credit for life with us to be used at a later date, for a different tour, subject to availability.
ABOUT OUR REFUND POLICY:
Although our refund policy is strict, it is necessary for us to be able to properly run this business and is common practice among niche small business tourism companies like ours, including other storm chasing tour operators, guided fishing trips, sightseeing tours, etc.
We operate similar to a cruise ship or airline without the capital they have to cushion and rebound refunds, this is why most of those larger companies penalize you for cancelling and have similar time limits for cancellation and refunds.
When a tour seat is deposited/sold it becomes held for you and is usually always unable to be resold to another client as it is marked as sold for a period of time when it normally would have sold to someone else. If you were to cancel your tour and get a refund, we lose out on the ability to resell that seat and the time needed to advertise it as open.
Our tours have expenses that are required to create your tour for you, before you arrive for your tour, including insurance and hotel booking to name just a few.
We strongly recommend purchasing a tourism based insurance policy to protect your trip and payment you have made with us, this is common among activities like the tours we provide. We would be happy to work with you to provide your insurance anything they might need to protect your trip with us.
AGE LIMITS:
You agree that you are 18 years of age or older or are a legal guardian of a person(s) over the age of 16 years old if purchasing a tour(s) with us. If purchasing a tour for those you are a legal guardian of you agree to sign a minor’s indemnity clause with us to be able to tour with us. This will be provided to you and will need to be signed by the legal guardian accompanying the minor at our initial orientation meeting before your tour.
WAIVER:
By securing a tour with us via deposit or final payment you agree to sign our waiver and release of liability form in person upon meeting on your tour arrival date at our safety orientation meeting. A copy of this waiver can be furnished to you at your request to view beforehand if you desire but is subject to possible changes by the time you meet with us to sign in person.
MEDIA:
You agree that your purpose of joining this tour is for personal leisure only and that you are not using our tours to create “for hire” media projects of any kind. This means that you cannot do work on our tours for others or yourself for a monetary gain using our services including video work, documentaries, cinema, interviews for media or any media related projects of any kind. One acceptation to this would be still photographers working for themselves only, but any monetary gain media projects would still require you to review and sign our media policy and you must contact us to do so. Any violations of this could result in immediate elimination from the tours at any given point or locale during the tour. For those looking to work with us to create media projects please contact us as we have specific abilities to create personalized outings for these type of projects.
