Video of Hurricane Katrina from "ground zero" at the Slidell, LA police station as 130 mph winds in the eye wall and massive flood waters force storm chasers, police officers, and inmates to the 2nd floor balcony. 10-15 feet of muddy flood waters cause catastrophic damage to the town of Slidell, and completely submerge the stormchaser's vehicle, forcing them to hitch a ride from a passing fishing boat.

Much of east and southeast Oklahoma experienced 2-3 inches of ice accumulation from three rounds of heavy freezing rain during January 12-14, 2007.
